About Us:

Adamsville Junior / Senior High School serves grades 7-12 in the McNairy County district. It is among the few public schools in Tennessee to receive a distinguished Great Schools Rating of 8 out of 10.

Parents have reviewed this school and given it an average rating of 5 out of 5 stars and it is one of US News and World Report's Best High Schools in America with a Bronze Star for their outstanding test scores!

Adamsville Jr/Sr High School has a rich tradition of excellence. The late T.E. Chisholm, former AHS principal, held to the credo, "Lets' leave our school better than we found it." This philosophy has been adopted by each successive administrator at AHS. The idea supported by Mr. Chisholm transcends the facility we recognize as AHS, although it naturally encompasses it. By striving to meet the three "A's" of Adamsville Jr/Sr High School, students will certainly leave our institution of learning better prepared to face the challenges of the future. These "A's" are attendance, academics and attitude. It is our goal to assist students in developing to their greatest potential in each of these areas. With this accomplished, AHS will continue its mission of providing a quality education for the young people of this area.
