Established in 1965, Adelante High School was comprised of only 8 students and 1 instructor and occupied a single room of the Roseville City District's Atlantic Street School. The following year, Adelante moved to the Placer County Fairgrounds where the program grew steadily as the demand for alternative education grew. In 1980 with over 200 students and 10 teachers, Adelante moved back to it's birthplace, the Atlantic Street School, this time as the sole occupants.

Click on the picture below for a larger version.The staff and students were largely responsible for the design and landscaping of the "new" campus. By 1990, growth and development of the program necessitated additional improvements and a multipurpose room and lab science classrooms were added to the campus. The program has steadily evolved in its capacity to meet the educational and personal needs of our students
