About Us:
Arlington High School opened in 2004 and has grown since then into one of the premier High Schools in Shelby County. Located in the northeast corner of the county, Arlington serves as the 2nd largest High school within Shelby County borders. With a population of over 2200 and many activities for all students, Arlington High’s mantra has always been “ there is something for everyone.” With the highest graduation rate among Shelby County Schools in 2013, Arlington High prides itself on getting students to the highest levels possible. There are over 128 faculty and staff here, over 80% hold advanced degrees, and 66% have taught more than 10 years. With a comprehensive program that emphasizes academic excellence, Arlington High also prepares each student to become a productive citizen. There are 18 Honors courses and 19 Advanced Placement courses available to those who wish to increase their own rigor levels and knowledge base. Arlington High also offers Career and Technology courses, Fine Arts courses, and a variety of extra curricular activities that anyone can be a part of. Students interested in Fine Arts, Performing Arts, or Athletic teams can have that opportunity here as well. The Arlington High athletic teams compete in one of toughest districts in the state and compete for championships locally, statewide, and nationally. As you can see, Arlington High offers a very diverse educational experience.
