Opportunities are offered in "transcripted credit" agreements with Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) in which students earn technical school credit for high school courses in such areas as auto, drafting, fashion merchandising, childcare, commercial art, and computer technology. In addition, students participate in manufacturing and health apprenticeships through WCTC. About 72% of the high school's graduates attend four-year institutions of higher education, while 20% attend two-year schools or technical colleges, and the remainder enter the job market or join the military.

Arrowhead offers one of the most extensive extra-curricular programs in the state of Wisconsin. Currently Arrowhead sponsors 126 levels of extra-curricular activities. On average, students participate in 2.3 activities from a wide range of opportunities. Students have demonstrated recent state Division I success by achieving first or second place in such sports as football, swimming, cross country, skiing, soccer, golf, pom pons, and cheerleading. Students excel in local and state competition in math and science, music, art, foreign language, DECA, Culinary and Business Olympics, and Special Olympics. Students have several media opportunities including a monthly print newspaper and a weekly online newspaper (Smoke Signal), yearbook, literary magazine (Expansions), and weekly television productions (AHS TV). Students' Theatrical opportunities include annual musical and musical theater night performed through AHS Broadway Company. The "Something for Everyone" theme is achieved through a 10-period day in which students take a minimum of seven classes. Classes consist of 40-minute daily classes, alternate-day classes for 84 minutes (typically in laboratory courses), 60-minute Advanced Placement classes, and block classes in which a year-long course in taught for a double period for one semester. Of the 50 credits required for graduation, 18 are electives. The flexible schedule is taught by 151 professionally trained teachers with an average of over 15 years of experience. Fifty-nine percent of the faculty have masters degrees and above. The staff is also equipped with state of the art technology and laboratory facilities. Through staff efforts, students receive a quality educational experience at Arrowhead. This educational experience extends throughout the community as the high school serves as a community center for people of the Lake Country area in terms of concerts, lectures, athletic events, seminars, evening classes, and home of the Phoenix Swim Club.
