About Us:

Brookwood High School is located in Brookwood, Alabama in the eastern part of Tuscaloosa County. BHS is approximately 6.5 miles from the Mercedes- Benz factory and Interstate 59/20. We are the third largest high School in the Tuscaloosa County School System. The school was established in 1928 and the present building was built in 1957. We currently have 755 students in grades 9 -12. Brookwood High School has 41 certified faculty members with many holding masters degrees and higher.

Brookwood High School's Adopt-A-School partner, through the West Alabama Chamber of Commerce, is Jim Walter Resources, Inc. Jim Walter Resources has provided many opportunities for Brookwood High School students through scholarships and a variety of projects and programs.

Our ultimate charge is to prepare our young people to meet a world that demands self-discipline and social skills as well as academic and work skills. We encourage everyone to join with us in educating our students.
