Brunswick High School has served the greater Brunswick community for more than a century. Our current building opened its doors in 1965. In a rural area of the county among farms and rolling foothills just outside the town center, Brunswick is a comprehensive high school operating on a 90-minute class schedule, with 4-classes/semester, allowing students to earn 8 credits each school year.
At Brunswick High School, we believe that each student is unique and valuable and all can learn and achieve mastery regardless of previous academic performance. It is our responsibility to establish and maintain an environment that respects individual learning styles, capitalizes on each student's natural curiosity and nurtures the desire to learn.
Brunswick High is proud of technology access throughout the school. Additionally, the school demonstrates a strong commitment to student activities such as clubs, music, drama, publications and athletics that address varied interests and abilities. Brunswick High School athletic teams have won numerous county, league and state championships.
With over 80% of our students attending community college, a 4-year college or business/technical school, Brunswick High School prepares students for a variety of post-secondary options. Our SAT combined scores outdistance both state and national levels, with the Class of 2000 having the highest combined SAT score of any Frederick County high school.
A wonderful sense of community and feelings of pride and loyalty predominate at Brunswick High School.
