Mission Statement and Narrative

The primary mission of Bunn High School is to provide all students with learning experiences that meet their needs. These experiences would enable students to develop values, skills and self-direction necessary for functioning responsibly in a democratic society. To achieve our mission, the staff, students, parents, and community must work collaboratively.

Bunn High School, located in rural southeastern Franklin County, is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It has an approximate enrollment of 950 students in grades 9-12 taught by 51 faculty members. Bunn High School has been impacted in the last five years by implementation of block scheduling, Tech Prep, facilities construction, LEA merger, and attendance redistricting. As a result, core curriculum opportunities are available which prepare students for a four-year college, community college, the military, or the workplace. Elective curriculum opportunities are available which enable students to explore career interests and enhance their growth in special interest areas.
