Canyon Hills Junior High School is a dynamic center of learning which serves an ethnically diverse community. Our caring and exprienced staff is committed to promoting the academic, physical, social, and emotional development of every student, while encouraging personal responsibility and citizenship. We pride ourselves on having a balanced and comprehensive curriculum, extensive parent and community support, and a safe and nurturing environment.

Students participate in a variety of co and extra-curricular activities which include marching band and drumline, yearbook, debate, art, clubs, leadership, ASB,oadrunners cross country, interscholastic boys’ and girls’ basketball, and Renaissance. Parents are also invited to come and observe classrooms and the campus during school hours. Just call us to make arrangements.
Renaissance is an academic recognition program which provides incentives for students who excel in the classroom and community. Students receive recognition at three academic rallies per year and any other events. Award winners earn a variety of rewards including t-shirts, restaurant certificates, front-of-the-line lunch line passes, and ice creams. 91% of our students earned Renaissance recognition at the third trimester rally last school year.
