Central York High School is located in a suburban community to the north and east of the city of York, PA. The school's faculty and staff provide more than 1,500 students in grades 9-12 with an enriching academic experience designed to prepare them for success in higher education, the work force, or whatever post-graduation path they pursue.
An extensive curriculum modeled on the Career Academy concept has produced an Academy Program that nurtures and encourages the development of the "total" learner. In addition, the One:World Initiative provides all learners with an iPad or laptop that enables them to create, communicate, collaborate and think critically 24/7 whether they are in the classroom or at home.
In 2014, the High School opened a Library and Learning HUB that provides learners with a one-touch design studio, a maker's space and access to technology and multi-media resources in support of their learning.
In addition to the learning opportunities provided to ALL High School students, Central York High School offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities including athletics, performing arts and music programs designed to help learners enhance their educational experience.
