Welcome to the Digital Harbor High School, #416. We believe you can learn and apply your knowledge and skills to authentic school, home, and job activities. In doing so, we expect you to be productive and caring citizens adhering to character values of respect for self and others, good conduct, pride and helping others.
Your main goal and purpose is to prepare successfully for graduation and life. The staff is committed to helping you realize this goal. The mission of Digital Harbor High School is to develop successful learning for all students by providing meaningful educational, cultural, and technological experiences that will assist them in fulfilling their greatest potential.
This mission is accomplished by creating Pathways within the school. These Pathways will provide small learning communities to develop creative and critical thinking; decision-making skills; improve academic achievement; allow increased opportunities for student self-development, and promote multi-cultural awareness. In addition, a close partnership with parents, the business community, community-based organizations and programs, cultural institutions, institutions of higher learning, and other stakeholders will help to fulfill this mission.
Goals
1. All students will graduate.
2. Graduates will be prepared for college without need for remediation.
3. All students will complete one of 4/5 information technology majors/concentrations.
4. All students will demonstrate skills and evidence of employability.
5. All students will have options either to go on to higher education, join the world of work or both upon graduation.
