Edgewood Senior High School students choose from four academic programs: honors, college preparatory, general, and vocational education.
Twenty-five units of credit are required for graduation from Edgewood Senior High School: 4 must be in English; 3 in Social Studies including 1 unit of U.S. History, 1 unit of Geography or World History, and 1 unit of American Government; 3 units in Mathematics; 3 units in Science with one each of biological and physical science; 1 unit in Technology; ½ unit in Health and ½ unit in Physical Education; ½ unit in Fine Arts; and ½ unit in Life Planning. The remaining 9 units of credit may be electives.
Edgewood Senior High School offers an excellent fine arts program consisting of drama, art, vocal, and instrumental music. The marching, symphonic and concert bands, as well as the choruses and Soundsations ensemble, have consistently been recognized as outstanding performing groups and perform throughout Northeast Ohio.
Special programs include: Community Based Special Education Programs, Computer Education, and various gifted educational options.
Athletes at Edgewood Senior High School compete in the Northeastern Conference in 18 separate girls' and boys' sports. The 2003-2004 school year gave us numerous athletic accomplishments, inclusive of a boys' State Championship in Cross Country.
Edgewood students find a wide variety of clubs, organizations and academic challenges. Depending on the desired level of involvement, Buckeye Local Schools and ESHS offer a wide variety of activites for each student.
