About the District:
The Edison Local School District is located in the northern half of Jefferson County, approximately 12 miles from Steubenville, Ohio. Edison Local School District is comprised of the following communities: (1) Irondale; (2) Stratton; (3) Empire; (4) Richmond; (5) Amsterdam; and (6) Bergholz. The Edison Local School District is 204 square miles.
The district has an enrollment of approximately 1,700 students. There are two elementary buildings (Prek-6) and one Jr/Sr. high school (7-12). Approximately 97 licensed and 56 classified personnel, 6 administrators, and 5 administrative secretaries are employed in the district.
