History

East Gadsden High School opened in the Fall of 2003. It is located on rolling hills in the heart of Gadsden County approximately halfway between Havana and Quincy. Havana Northside High School (Havana, FL) and James A. Shanks High School (Quincy, FL) were combined to form East Gadsden High School. It has approximately 1100 students. It is building strong programs in the academics as well as award-winning arts and athletic programs. The school colors are North Carolina "Blue and Silver" and the school mascot is the Jaguar.
