Galion High School 2005-2006 school year will provide each of us with ample opportunities to learn.

Take the time to read through the handbook at your convenience and feel free to seek needed clarification through any Galion High School Administrator. The handbook is utilized as an operating instrument in the decision-making process, and your consultation to the handbook in your decision-making process will help Galion High School run smoothly.

Additionally, many times academic credit and extra or co-curricular participation hinges upon following the guidelines explained in the handbook. The intent of the handbook is to provide uniformity in governing the complexities of high school life.

Administration and staff are in place to assist each student to maximize their potential both in the classroom and outside of the classroom as they pursue academic goals, participate in activities outside of the classroom, and represent Galion High School to the greater good of the community. Following the student handbook helps each of us strengthen the Galion High School organization.

Expectations remain high for each Galion High School student. A lifetime of experiences are packed into four years of high school with emphasis being placed in one year increments. We want this year to be productive for each of our students. The 2005-2006 school year will offer opportunities for each student to grow academically, socially, intellectually, emotionally, musically, athletically, and personally. I would like each student to meet the healthy challenges that a productive school year offers. The dedication of teachers, support staff, and administration serve to assist each student in meeting the challenges necessary for high school success.

In closing, studies indicate that the most important characteristic successful high school students exhibit is “organization.” Those students who know their assignments, when they are due, how they are graded, and go about the business of paying attention to the details of their classes, are many times the students who are the most successful academically. The characteristic of being organized will go far in helping further the success of each student here at Galion High School. Please help us help all students to be organized. We want to help pack a lifetime of positive memories into the 2005-2006 school year and we want each student to have fun while doing so. If at the end of this school year a student who attends Galion High School is able to say that they have worked hard and had fun while accomplishing something positive toward their future I would say we have encouraged future and lifelong success.
