Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide a safe environment that meets the needs of all students through a diversified approach to learning, to promote self-esteem and emotional well being among and between students and faculty, and to prepare students for the rigorous demands of an ever-changing society.
Statement of Philosophy
The faculty and staff of Gordo High School are committed to providing a pleasant environment for students with concern for the holistic development of the student. While we acknowledge the need for a rigorous curriculum and exposure to advanced technology to prepare students for future challenges, we also believe that the student's academic development relates heavily to the student's moral and social development. The faculty and staff realize and accept their responsibility in helping students develop self- esteem, confidence, and academic ability. We also recognize the need of students to feel they are an integral part of the school, accepted and cared for by both faculty and peers. The fulfillment of this mission statement should enable students to develop their potential to the fullest and be successful and productive members of society.
