About Hightower High School
Hightower High School offers concentrated studies in the the areas of medical sciences, engineering and computer media, and television production in addition to providing a comprehensive, traditional high school experience.
Hightower offers a full complement of high school activities including U.I.L. athletics, drill team, cheerleading, fine arts, clubs, marching band, orchestra and theater.
All students living within the district as well as those zoned to Hightower are eligible to apply for admission to the Career Academies. Anyone wishing to enroll in the Career Academies (including those zoned to Hightower) must submit the application and teacher recommendation forms (click on "related documents" below this text).
Acceptance to the Career Academies is broadly based on student grades, teacher recommendations, discipline history and standardized test scores.
All introductory classes in the Career Academies (Introduction to Medical Science Technology, Medical Terminology, Engineering Computer Applications, Digital Graphics and Animation, and Media Literacy) are available on the advanced level only. Honors courses can be selected after these entry courses have been completed. Interested parties must reside within the boundaries of the Fort Bend Independent School District to apply.
Hightower High School is in the southeast portion of the district, located at Highway 6 and Hurricane Lane in Missouri City, just east of Sienna Plantation. Transportation to the campus is provided for students zoned to the campus and for transfers to the Career Academies.
