Mission Statement:
The mission of Jellico High School is to establish a safe environment that ensures academic and technical excellence by preparing students for the post-secondary education and the workplace through proven and innovative programs and curriculum, producing responsible citizens who can communicate effectively.
Vision Statement:
1. Societal, technological and educational advances have forced significant change and challenge in the school environment. Consequently, a higher standard of academic and professional performance is necessary to satisfy the demands of today’s local and global economy. To secure present and future excellence in personal and academic growth, we will provide:
- relevant professional development
- state-of-the-art technology for all teachers and students
- current textbooks
- diverse curriculum
2. Students are encouraged to contribute to this vision by assuming ownership and responsibility toward attaining a high-quality education through:
- regular attendance
- self-discipline
- setting goals
- a positive, forward-thinking attitude
3. Our vision for the future is to continue to strive towards excellence in all of our academic and technical programs, while continuing to provide a safe environment in which maximum learning can be achieved. This can be accomplished in part by staff development and adherence to curriculum standards. We will continue to provide a curriculum that will meet the needs of all students.
4. We will also continue to provide extra-curricular activities for our students.
