Pickerington Lakeview and Pickerington Ridgeview Junior High Schools (Pickerington L/R Junior High Schools) strive to maintain a high standard of excellence and to establish a balance between athletics and
academics. It is the basic educational philosophy of the Pickerington Local School District to prepare students to become productive, contributing citizens of our community and society. We believe that a
comprehensive program of student activities is vital to the educational development of our students.

The athletic program is a complete extension of this philosophy.
Pickerington Local Schools offer a variety of interscholastic sports programs for seventh and eighth grade students. Participation in sports activities provides students the opportunity to grow physically and
emotionally in a positive, competitive atmosphere that emphasizes both sportsmanship and the team concept. In addition, student self image as well as school image is enhanced, contributing to an overall sense of achievement.
