Mission:
The mission of Lutcher High School is to provide opportunities for all students to reach their highest academic potential in order for them to become an intellectually, emotionally, socially, morally, and culturally productive citizen in society.
About Us:
Positive Behavior Support (PBIS) is a systematic approach to preventing or reducing challenging behaviors, and, eventually, to enhancing quality of life for individuals and support providers.
It is critical that all involved realize that PBIS is a process. It is not a curriculum or a program. It is not a package that we hand you and you implement. It is a process that requires you to look at our school environment and address all areas that impact student behavior. What you do or do not do in your classroom strongly affects other classrooms and areas in the school. PBIS is for everyone in our school and once implemented with fidelity, it will become your way of doing business. It is based on effective research practices that are known to work when implemented with fidelity. It is a positive, proactive, and preventive approach rather than a reactive and punitive approach.
