Mae Hensley Junior High School

The faculty has developed the following mission statement that describes our vision for the work at Mae Hensley: "We at Mae Hensley Junior High School believe that all students are capable and can be successful. We are committed to developing critical, creative and independent thinkers who can apply problem-solving skills to their daily lives.
Our mission is to provide an academically challenging education in a caring environment which promotes the intellectual, physical, aesthetic, emotional and social growth of our students."

Mae Hensley Junior High School was opened in 1973. There are thirty-two permanent classrooms, a library, locker and shower facilities, gym, a cafeteria/multi-purpose room with an indoor-outdoor stage and an administration office. The facilities include a track, football field, two large playing fields, nine basketball courts, and a large blacktop area. We have added seven portable classrooms to accommodate growth. We have also converted one set of restrooms to changing rooms for our dance program.
