Mantachie High School offers a solid academic curriculum which includes AP History and AP English.  Students may also participate in art, band, and chorus.  MHS also offers students a variety of extra-curricular activities including academic, career interest, and  service clubs. The agriculture program uses hands-on instruction to teach students in areas of forestry, agriculture, and meats.  Students grow and sell plants and flowers in two fully operational greenhouses.  They also plant, tend, harvest, process, and sell sorghum molasses.  The FFA members participate in cow shows.  In addition to the greenhouses, there are two classrooms, a meats lab, a shop, a barn, a planting shed, and an office. Varsity sports in which students may participate include baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross country, football, golf, power-lifting, slow-pitch and fast-pitch softball, tennis, and track and field.  In the fall of 2004, a new football field house located in the northeast corner of the football grounds was completed.  A new baseball and softball complex was completed in 2007.
