North Branch High School is a four grade (9-12) comprehensive high school that serves the population of the northern third of Lapeer County in Michigan’s “Thumb Region”. The secondary program in North Branch has been in existence for 116 years.
The present high school building is 12 years old and provides student and staff access to current technologies including computers, interactive teaching facilities, CD ROM, and Internet access.
Currently, the students are scheduled on a 4X4 Block schedule. Next year, we will be switching to a “Trimester Schedule”.
The high school maintains a full athletic and extracurricular program including a newly added bowling team and Forensics team. Over 850 students are enrolled in NBHS with that number expected to increase to over 880 next year.
