North Stokes High School sits among the rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. North Stokes High School has an enrollment of 426 in grades 9-12 and a certified staff of 40. The support staff of bus drivers, custodians, cafeteria workers, secretaries, and teacher assistants contribute to the success of the school.
The school offers a broad-based education in math, science, English, and social studies at all grade levels, and provides special interest courses through art, music, theater, foreign language, physical education, and vocational programs.
Students have the opportunity to participate in many clubs, ranging from service clubs such as Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), to honor societies such as Senior Beta and National Honor Society, to co-curricular clubs such as Future Farmers of America. Students can also participate in student government.
Strong community support comes from parent groups such as the Athletic Boosters, Band Boosters, Academic Boosters, and Yearbook Boosters.
A wide range of athletic programs for both males and females are available. North Stokes athletic teams compete in tennis, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, cheerleading, baseball, softball, Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor track and field, football, and soccer.
