Northampton County High School-East
Northampton County High School-East (NCHS-East) is located two miles south of Highway 158. It is approximately halfway between Jackson and Conway, in the community known as Faison’s Old Tavern.
NCHS-East was built in 1964 to replace Conway, Jackson, Seaboard, Rich Square and Woodland High Schools. By 1980, because of high school consolidation, Willis Hare and W. S. Creecy High Schools were added to the list. NCHS-East has replaced all high schools on the eastern end of the county.
The campus of NCHS-East contains three buildings, each being content specific. The administrative building houses the areas of math, fine arts, science, foreign language, and exceptional children. The English-social studies building houses the areas of language arts and social studies. The vocational building houses the classrooms for business courses, automotive courses, and health sciences courses. There is also acreage for our football, baseball, softball, and cross country fields, as well as four tennis courts.
The present enrollment is 564. The staff consists of 58 members who are dedicated to the growth and development of each student. Due to the dedication of the staff, students, and the community, NCHS-East is striving to improve the overall achievement of all students
