Philosophy
Norwalk High School designs its program to meet the varied and individual needs of students. By fostering self-esteem and by meeting the needs of the students and the mandates of the community and state, we provide an environment which gives constant direction to every student's overall academic and social growth through a variety of curricular and extra-curricular offerings.
Ultimately, our school seeks to prepare students for effective living and responsible citizenship. However, in order to continue successfully our educational endeavor, all must realize the community's obligation to respond with the financial, physical, and human resources necessary to meet the educational needs of the community and students. Also, all must recognize that the responsibility for meeting educational needs rests not only with the teachers and administrators, but also with the community, parents, and most importantly, the students themselves.
