Pearl City High School is a tradition, an oath to education. With the fortitude of Principal Lammy Ching, its doors opened in September of 1971 with only a Freshman Class and a faculty of less than 30 members. During its first year of operation, only the A and B buildings were in use. P.E. was taught in A-B courtyard and lunch was served from B204. Every class had a slop bucket into which food was disposed.
