The faculty of Perry County High School envisions a colorful, well maintained building with displays depicting both academic and athletic achievement. It pictures a quiet, orderly, and safe environment which reflects a desire to learn. It sees an environment where achievement is honored and rules enforced within a diversified curriculum which demands active learning and involves students, parents, teachers, administrators, and community


Perry County High School was opened in the fall of 1963 when Linden and Lobelville High School's were consolidated. Linden High School's student population was 250 and Lobelville's population was 95. There were 17 teachers on staff when the school first opened. The length of the school day at that time was from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Currently, Perry County High School is a new 76,000 square foot facility which opened in November, 2000. It is located on a main thoroughfare at 1056 Squirrel Hollow Drive, Highway 13 South, Linden, Tennessee, and serves grades 9-12. PCHS has a state of the art gymnasium, an up to date library with table seating 24 and computer stations for 20, three classrooms housing terminals to accommodate large groups, and vocational accommodations for building and agricultural classes. PCHS has two feeder schools: Linden Middle, grades 5-8 housed in the building adjacent to the high school and Lobelville Elementary grades K-8, located approximately ten miles north of Linden.
