Located in Brodheadsville, Pleasant Valley High School houses approximately 1,800 students in grades 10-12. Comprehensive programs offer students options to pursue college and university programs, careers, vocational and the military upon graduation. Pleasant Valley High School is a member of the Mountain Valley Conference which provides the avenue for co-curricular activities and interscholastic competition. Features outlined in the high school program: A Performance-Based Academic Curriculum with quality college preparatory and Advanced Placement programs, career preparedness through applied techniques in Tech Prep and School to Work planning, and a choice of 27 vocational-technical programs offered by the Monroe County Technical Institute. High School programs include: A Student Assistance Program referral known as the Share Team with educators trained to direct students with emotional concern or substance abuse issues to community agency workers within the district. Peer Listeners and Peer Mediation promote "students helping students."
Additionally, the high school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities available to all students. Non-athletic offering include, Band, Marching, Jazz, Pep, Leo Club, Cheerleading for Football, Basketball, and Wrestling; Chess, Chorus, Varsity Chorale, Class Officers, Drama Club, Drill Silk's, Foreign Language Club, Future Business Leaders of America, Career Apprenticeship Aides, Intramural sports, Jazz Band, Junior States of America, Majorettes, Mock Trial, National Art Honor Society, National Honor Society, German Honor Society, Music Honor Society, Scholastic Scrimmage, School Newspaper, Show Choir, Ski Club, Spring Musical, Stage Crew, Student Government, Key Club, Tutoring, Yearbook and Government Intern Program. Pleasant Valley High School participates in a full slate of interscholastic sports including the following: Boys' Football, Girls' Field Hockey, Boys' and Girls' Soccer, Boys' and Girls' Cross Country, Boys' and Girls' Tennis, Boys' and Girls' Golf, Boys' and Girls' Basketball, Boys' Wrestling, Golf, Boys' Baseball, Girls' Softball, Girls' Volleyball and Boys' and Girls' Track.
