About Us:

The instrumental music program in this district is very strong and continues to build a proud tradition of musical achievement through hard work, fun, and a strong sense of camaraderie.

Recent statistics prove that young people who participate in music are academically among the strongest in their schools. Through music students learn to explore their own imagination, creativity, and self-expression as well as develop an appreciation for the arts as a whole. It is this appreciation that contributes to an overall greater quality of life.

A young musician's life will be filled with the successes which are a direct result of their orchestral experience: self-discipline, group cooperation, high self-esteem, understanding teamwork, developing a sense of persistence and performance confidence. As a young musician progresses on his/her instrument, you will see how this same desire for excellence applies to every subject in school and serves as a training ground for dealing with many aspects of life.

The opportunity to enjoy a new level of communication and self-expression is the goal for every young musician. Creativity is within all of us, and the language of music serves as a perfect vehicle to allow this personal growth development.  Much can be said with music that is impossible to say with words.
