At Roxborough High School we support fully the School District's Mission and Goals Statement that all students can learn; that educators must be aware of student capabilities; and that it is our responsibility to stimulate lifelong learning to make our students competent and productive human beings. We are also committed to the curriculum standards set forth in the Chapter 5 regulations of the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
We strive to develop high levels of competence in academic skills; the reciprocal appreciation of human values, attitudes, and cultures; the fostering of independent thinking; the cultivation of understanding and appreciation of individual differences; and the improving of the ability to productively utilize technology of the 21 st century.
Our mission is to provide educational programs, resources and experiences which will enable students to become confident, responsible, and productive citizens. The way we do this is by recognizing that students need a foundation that will enable them to apply the knowledge gained and the skills mastered to practical situations. In our small learning communities, students have goals-oriented programs that provide for advanced levels of subjects, post secondary education, and employment skills.
