About Us :

In the fall of 1995, Saltillo High School opened a new campus located on seventy-five acres on Highway 145 north in the Saltillo City limits.   With the continual growth in the northern part of Lee County,  new classrooms including a new home economics classroom, and an art classroom were added in 2000 and in 2003.  In the fall of 2008 an additional 8 new classrooms were added. The complex of 50 classrooms, a spacious commons area, a large media center with a career center, and a multi-purpose gymnasium  houses approximately 770 students in grades 9-12. The staff consists of a principal, two assistant principals, two counselors, a media specialist, a career center technician, an attendance clerk, 49 certified teachers, and 9 support staff.

The high school, a Level 5/Superior school for the past four years, offers a wide range of courses for students of all interests and aptitude levels.  Along with the advanced academic curriculum, students can participate in band, chorus, art and gifted art.  Varsity sports include football, basketball, baseball, softball, track, tennis, golf, soccer and cross country.   In fall, 2002 a new football stadium located adjacent to the high school building was opened for competition.

The school was chosen as a Tech Prep site in 1994. In fall, 2000 the agriculture  program received an MDE grant for the Agricultural and Environmental Science and Technology Program.

Saltillo High School offers students a variety of extra curricular activities including academic, service, vocational, and career interest clubs.
