Mission:

To maintain focus on student learning and wellness by engaging in sound resource allocation and policy management to ensure that the Sonora Union High School District is an excellent place to learn, teach, and work.

Goals:

To reach consensus on a single plan for best addressing student needs at Sonora High School by June 2006.
Access to challenging, relevant, standards-based curriculum for all students; a curriculum that provides all students with basic college and/or school - to - career preparation necessary for post-secondary education/training.
Specific intervention strategies in the core academic areas for students who are three or more years below grade level.
An academic achievement reporting system correlated to attainment of identified standards.
Allocation of instructional time.
Smaller learning communities.
Systemic support for students who are struggling academically, socially, and / or emotionally.
Student attendance; and Low reading levels.
