The Tam High Foundation fosters academic excellence and innovation in education for every student at Tamalpais High School, by funding relevant and original ideas brought forth by the school community.
Through the support of the Tam High Foundation, Tamalpais High School will provide every student and every teacher with the opportunity to reach his or her full potential, and in doing so provide a quality of education unmatched in any other school, public or private, in the Bay Area.
The ultimate purpose of Tamalpais High School is to prepare the young people of this community to become better men and women in whatever walk of life they may engage. We do this by maintaining a learning community that celebrates diversity, honors excellence, and provides students the opportunity to question, create, think, and dream.
Often compared to a small college campus because of its cluster of separate Mission-style buildings, Tam is considered one of the most beautiful high schools in California. Since opening in 1908, Tamalpais has educated four generations of Southern Marin youth through a comprehensive four-year program for students in grades 9 through 12. Our enrollment for the 2004-2005 school year reached 1,134.
